Terri Allred Designs was founded in order to share healing energy with others through jewelry, pottery and movement. After becoming a Reiki practitioner several years ago, I decided that I wanted to share the powerful and restorative energy in a way that was accessible to my friends and family around the world.
The energy of the body: Chakras
The body, just like the universe, is made up of energy. Your chakras are the energy centers in the body. The word ‘chakra’ is derived from the Sanskrit word meaning ‘wheel’. Literally translated from the Hindi it means ‘Wheel of spinning Energy’. You have seven of these major energy centers and many more minor ones.
Your chakras are like invisible, rechargeable batteries. They are charged and recharged through contact with cosmic energy in the atmosphere in much the same way that your home is connected to a central power source within a city – the only difference is that this cosmic energy source is free.
Your Chakras connect your spiritual body to your physical one. They regulate the flow of energy throughout the electrical network (meridians) that runs through the physical body. The body’s electrical system resembles the wiring in a house. It allows electrical current to be sent to every part, and it is ready for use when needed.
Sometimes chakras become blocked because of stress, emotional or physical problems. If the body’s ‘energy system’ cannot flow freely it is likely that problems will occur. The consequence of irregular energy flow may result in physical illness and discomfort or a sense of being mentally and emotionally out of balance.
There are many ways to become back “in balance” but one of those ways is through Reiki Healing. I became a Reiki Master several years ago, learning how to unblock the blockages in energy in a person’s Chakras. I realized that many people didn’t have access to Reiki treatments but still needed the benefit of the energy flow.
Therefore, I created a line of jewelry infused with healing Reiki energy for the wearer. I select natural stones that already carry energy and meaning and then personally infuse each piece of jewelry with healing Reiki energy. Additionally, I have begun to make pottery and am infusing healing energy into the elemental clay as the piece is made.
Root Chakra
Color: Red
The Root Chakra grounds you to the world around you. Your physical nature is located here including basic survival needs, financial success and abundance. Key elements of this Chakra include motivation, focus and grounding.

Sacral Chakra
Color: Orange
The Sacral Chakra is the home of your creativity. Your gut feelings and intuition reside here. This is the place where your energy gives birth to your reality.
Stones: carnelian, Picasso jasper
Solar Plexus Chakra
Color: Yellow
The Solar Plexus Chakra is where your self-esteem and courage lie. Digestion of food and of life are important aspects of the energy here.
Stones: citrine
Heart Chakra
Color: Green and Pink
The Heart Chakra is where love, kindness, compassion and tolerance live.
Stones: rose quartz, jade, green aventurine, moss agate
Throat Chakra
Color: Light blue or turquoise
Communication is the main focus of the Throat Chakra including the ability to express yourself, be heard and listen well. This center also helps you align with intuition and divine timing.
Stones: blue lace agate, turquoise, amazonite
Third Eye Chakra
Color: Indigo Blue
The Third Eye, located in the center of your brain, is the place of intuition and the ability to pay attention to your inner knowing.
Stones: amethyst, soladite, lapis lazuli
Crown Chakra
Colors: White, Gold, Purple
The Crown Chakra helps with mental clarity, spiritual connection and your personal connection with the Divine.
